Located approximately an hour from Sydney, in one of Australia’s most southerly stands of subtropical rainforest and endangered warm temperate rainforest. This canyon features great views of the Illawarra Escarpment, the Pacific Ocean, and local wildlife including Lyrebirds, Swamp Wallabies, Wombats, Echidnas and Water Dragons. This tour includes swimming through rock pools, abseiling through and around cascading waterfalls, rock jumps from heights up to 8 meters and natural water slides. See the areas many natural features including towering cliffs, dense rainforest vegetation, and pristine pools.

The tour begins along an easy half hour hike along a track beneath the rainforest canopy, interspersed with panoramic views of the surrounding escarpment and ocean. Upon reaching the start of the canyon, equipment is donned and instruction on canyoning techniques is provided.
The day is spent swimming and wading through the watercourse, traversing many obstacles along the way. These obstacles include abseiling through and around waterfalls into deep water, performing multiple rock jumps from varying heights up to 8 meters and sliding down waterfall smoothed, natural water slides. Lunch is eaten in the canyon with ample time allowed to relax in the rock pools and take in the rainforest vegetation.

The tour finishes at a spectacular pool that features the largest rock jumps and water slide in the area. Time is spent here relaxing and swimming in the sun, jumping, sliding and rock climbing over deep water.

This tour requires a moderate level of fitness and suitable for most people. Difficulty level can be varied depending on each individuals desired level of challenge by attempting different obstacles.
